Demolition begins! The Dentler Building, located in Houston’s historic First Ward and originally built in 1923 as a potato-chip factory, is being turned into a single family residence after decades as a four-plex apartment building. Over the coming months, we’ll record this transformation, designed by Four Square Design Studio. In these photos, you can see the front and back façades, and the gradual demo work being done on the first floor/east apartment (over several days) which will eventually be the dining room and kitchen in the renovated house.
Stay tuned for more photos, background on this fascinating building, and peeks into what is planned!
