This jewel box of a house, built in the 1930’s, is located in one of Houston’s lovely, tree lined neighborhoods. When our client purchased it, she wanted to make some sensitive interior design updates to the house, and worked with Houston architect Gary Chandler. They updated the kitchen, added a sunroom on the first floor, and enlarged the master bedroom and bath on the second. We were brought in after the architectural phase of the project had been completed, but the decoration of the house had yet to be undertaken. Working closely with our client, we developed a neutral palette with pops of color, to create and calm and comfortable interior design. This interior design project was the first place winner for the 2012 ASID Design Awards for a residential project under 3500 square feet.
