Our longtime clients decided to move from Memorial to River Oaks to be closer to downtown. They selected a classic late 1920’s Tudor Revival home with wonderful bones, but which was in poor physical condition and had undergone a couple of renovations of uneven quality.
Over the next three years we reworked parts of the floor plan to improve its functionality, and redesigned the kitchen, bathrooms, lighting, and cabinetry. We restored original features to the house, replicating original trim and doors, designing fireplaces where needed, and restoring where possible. We also designed color palettes and selected furniture, fabrics, finishes, and lighting, all the while working closely with our clients, who have a refreshing fearlessness with color.
