Our clients owned a property in the Woodland Heights with exceptional views of green spaces and of downtown, and commissioned the local architectural firm McIntyre & Robinowitz to design a house that took advantage of this remarkable site.

Four Square developed the color palettes for the new house. On the exterior, these were expressed through our selections of paint colors, stone for the front and rear porches, front door finish and metal finishes. On the interior, we chose flooring materials, cabinetry finishes, countertops, and all the tile selections for the kitchen and baths. We also developed lighting and furniture plans and selected fixtures, furniture and fabrics. Much of the furniture in the house was custom-designed by us, as was some of the cabinetry.

Working closely with our clients, we learned that they were seeking restful and comfortable spaces tailored to their tastes. We achieved this through the use of a tight, soft, neutral color palette of gray-greens punctuated with warm bursts of color, and through the use of comfortably-scaled furnishings.
